I’m building a new tool and looking for volunteers to test it! A #fediverse linktree.It’s designed for two types of people:Normies / newcomers – Think of it like a free, privacy-respecting Linktree. No trackers, no ads. But here's the cool part: it's a Trojan horse for the fediverse. Your profile link is itself an ActivityPub actor. That means people can interact with it directly in the fediverse, and it encourages exploration of open platforms.Fediverse users, If you have multiple accounts (#Mastodon, #Pixelfed, Loops, a federated blog…), you know the struggle: sometimes you just want one persona to follow. This tool gives you that. It doesn’t post on its own (read-only), but it boosts all your other accounts and even has its own #ActivityPub inbox. neondystopia.world is an instance that values freedom of expression and equity above all else, something that I thought a devout christian like yourself would have valued. After all, Jesus too was prosecuted for his expression. We have fair and equitable guidelines for our users and moderators, ensuring that any reports filed are compared against our own rules and that of the instance the report originated from. We even investigate reports on staff independently to ensure they are peer reviewed and free from bias. We go above and beyond what most do to ensure that we maintain a comfortable and inclusive environment by carefully balancing free expression with fairness and equity. Choosing instead to deal with people on a case-by-case basis rather than blanket banning entire instances. I don't take slander of our instance lightly, and wanted to leave you with a scripture in hope that you may reflect on your decision. Matthew 7:1-5 “*Judge not, that you be not judged. I had been thinking about the filtering part of #fcli, my #Mastodon to #email bridge as 'similar to #procmail', but today I realised that if I add custom headers to the email messages it produces I can just use procmail itself. By interfacing #Fediverse ideas with email standards I seem to be needing less and less custom code to get a setup which works for me, and making more and more use of decades old open source software, which is actually a pretty great outcome.
Something I believe may be warrant discussion is how each instance is beholden to the rules of another by virtue of federation. Something that has given way to vibes-based reporting which our administrator has been unable to act on. This has, unfortunately, resulted in the slander of our instance.
