Brazilians also have experienced the loss of democracy and long dictatorships in the past, so the system sees this as a serious, actual threat, something that has happened before and can happen again. People my age were born during the last one, so they either want it back because they’re the bad guys and need to be stopped, like Bolsonaro, or they are the ones doing the stopping because we remember how it was. You guys have no clue how it is. The threat doesn’t feel real.
