#Linux #Windows Gestern abend ein recht merkwürdiges Gespräch gehabt zur #Umstellung auf Linux. Ausgangspunkt war, dass mir die Person sagte, der Laptop würde zu langsam werden und manchmal rumspinnen. Ist wohl 6 Jahre alt. Als ich dann die mögliche Umstellung auf Linux angesprochen habe, wurden erstmal völlig merkwürdige Argumente rausgekramt, warum das nicht gehen sollte. Als ich daraufhin antwortete, dass ich im Gegensatz zu anderen Personen aktiv Linux nutze, und weiß, was bei einer Umstellung wichtig ist, kamen dann auf einmal spezifischere Argumente, warum es nicht gehen würde. Am Ende, Turns out: Die Person hat ihren kompletten Laptop abhängig gemacht von einem Hersteller für Geräte und Geräteverwaltungssoftware für die Plug&Play Geräte wie Maus, Tastatur usw. Razor Synapse, falls das jemand kennt. Alter, würde mir nicht im Traum einfallen, mich so komplett an einen Hersteller zu binden und nicht mehr aus diesem Closed Garden raus zu können. WTF? Manchmal bist du als mittlerweile wissender Linux-User einfach nur sprachlos, wie Menschen mit wenig IT-Wissen sich bereitwillig in die Arme einer Firma begeben.... Mmpf.
