Last weekend I had a number of men ask if I make bracelets so I have decided to make bracelets available. I've made a few as special orders but never thought to make them as part of my general stock. I love doing kumihimo and recently bought a lot of leather cord to make hat bands for me/friends. I find myself looking forward to doing this and it is an opportunity to have stock at a lower price point, which is nice.

@consumablejoy I'd never buy a new vehicle because something that depreciates $10K as soon as I drive it off the lot doesn't appeal and I don't like my vehicle spying on me and selling my data. I've been known to turn off my phone for the same reason. Funny review, though.

@consumablejoy The cost of a new used truck is a lot of $40 belts.

@consumablejoy Not only would I have to buy a suitable bench because I have nothing like this presently but I would also have to buy a truck because I would not be able to fit everything I need into my Volvo, which otherwise suits my needs for the canopy and stock I currently transport.

@consumablejoy I have made custom belts for people and don't mind doing it. I actually enjoy it but I don't want to carry all that raw leather, the necessary tools and set up a proper work bench in my booth. The bench would have to be sturdy enough to pound rivets on and stable enough to sit on grass or soil without shifting. I would also have to traipse across uneven ground from my vehicle to my booth with said heavy work bench. There's a lot people don't consider when they suggest this.

I also have a tendency to be a little cynical in this respect and expect people to steal as I spent my 20s in Loss Prevention. Each place I worked I had the highest apprehension record.

This weekend several men asked if I sell leather belts. It is not unusual for a vendor to have a stall where they make leather belts to order, cutting them and customizing them for each customer. If you notice, they may sell a few other small goods like watch straps or belt buckles but basically they sell belts. That's not me. I won't be customizing your $40 leather belt whilst someone else runs off with one of my $300 leather backpacks. I apologize for this inconvenience. #LeatherCraft #Maker
