The majority of YouTubers do not reap any fruits of their labor, that's the sad reality of it. And I agree with you that PeerTube is the way, even though it is not currently not monetized. It is still in its infancy stage, but I believe that as it grows, it will eventually allow creators to earn a living from their labor. Personally, I am on the TilVID instance, which is focused on educational content. 2/3 -

I'm not a film maker, but an educator. I used to run a YouTube channel for graphic design tutorials. (I said 'used to', as I do not intend to get back to YouTube). And I can say that I share your grievances with YouTube. I have recorded more that 200 video tutorials (including shorts). They are making big bucks out of it, meanwhile keeping hoping that one day, I will reap the fruits of my labor. 1/3
