@adamvs1 @dmacphee don’t disagree that it’s mostly greenwashing for carbon emitters at this point, BUT…

We already see renewables sometimes overproducing in some markets. If we install as much as we should, managing the excess energy becomes a problem. If we had carbon capture plants that could spin up when renewable electricity becomes essentially free, we could actually gain some ground on climate change.

Wish we could count on forests, but they’re burning. Canada’s forests were net carbon emitters in 2023, and 2025 isn’t looking good. Mother Nature might need a helping hand on this one.
