So, let us summarise today’s events related to the intrusion of approximately 20 (at least) Russian drones into Polish territory…

1. Our Polish F-16s and Dutch F-35s took charge of the air contact and carried out the order to shoot down some of them.
2. The first centre (in Poland) that initially supervised, monitored the situation and guided the fighter jets was German radars and two German Patriot batteries located at the Jesionka-Rzeszów airport.
   German Patriot batteries were put on high alert and, in the event of an escalation, were to take on the task of opening fire on incoming targets that could not be shot down by fighter jets.
3. The initial coordinates of the flying drones were provided by the Ukrainian air defence forces.
4. Broad radar surveillance from the air and real-time transmission of situational data was carried out by an Italian AWACS early warning aircraft.
5. Due to the fact that a large group of F-16 and F-35 aircraft had to spend a lot of time in the air, a Dutch Airbus A330 tanker (MRTT) was urgently brought in from Rotterdam.

So Europe is managing, even without American help… We witnessed quite efficient and effective cooperation between Poland, the #Netherlands, #Germany, #Ukraine and #Italy.

#Russia aerial attack on #Ukraine in 10 September 2025 involved over 500 drones and missiles, and, for the first time, a group of 10 drones crossed into #NATO #Poland territory with no doubt that this was their planned route, not just “route deviation”.

Dozens of Ukrainian towns were hit, primarily in Western Ukraine, which was the primary target of Russian aggression, but it’s quite clear Russia decided to inaugurate its “Zapad 2025” military exercise in #Belarus with an actual kinetic hit on Poland.

For the first time Poland air defence, supported by #Netherlands air force on duty, actually downed the Russian drones. One of the drones hit a residential house in a Polish village near Lublin. Poland called territorial defense forces into readiness and security council meeting is scheduled for this morning.
