If you are in the UK and don't want a phone to go off as part of the imminent UK-wide emergency alert test, you have about 25 minutes to turn it off.
Airplane mode might work, but perhaps safest to turn it off.
The test is scheduled for 15:00 (UTC + 1)
It looks as if Apple's security model for macOS meant that a friend lost some work she had done using LibreOffice Writer.
It appears that one needs to go to macOS System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy, and give full disk access to LibreOffice, before macOS will save the file correctly.
This may be well known, but clearly it is not known to everyone, and hopefully this might help someone out there!
