Zelensky said Patriots will not help against Shaheds, stressing they are designed primarily for ballistic missiles. He noted the US produces about 50–60 Patriot missiles a month, while Russia launches 500–800 Shaheds daily. With each interceptor costing millions versus a drone at $100k, he argued cheaper systems or alternative methods must be used instead.
