Hey Toronto, I'm planning a thanksgiving tea party that will also be a fundraiser for LGBTQ youth. We are deciding on an organization to raise funds for but haven't landed on one.

We won't be raising tons of money so its important that the money is used in the most effective way possible.

Please recommend a charity or not for profit organization that you know to provide transparent information about spending and has high impact with little money spent.

Ideally this is a local organization that serves LGBTQ youth - but it could be something else entirely. Like even something outside of Canada like providing mosquito nets to prevent malaria. (which apparently one of the highest impact per dollar things a charity can do)

So here I am back on Mastodon. I originally tried it when it came out but there wasn't much going on. I recently met a fellow enby and they said now its a great place to meet and chat with other enby people.
Please recommend things I can do to discover people to interact with, maybe joining a group or something? Still figuring this platform out!
