@guyjantic Newsom says we should continue the work of Charlie Kirk which included, among other things, a "professor watchlist" that led to harassment, firings and death threats. Given the facts, there's nothing reasonable about Newsom's comments.

Can I empathize with Charlie Kirk? Sure. Empathy isn't sympathy. It doesn't mean feeling sorry for someone. It's the ability to put yourself in another person's shoes.

If I picture myself doing and saying what Charlie Kirk did and said, then I can imagine pissing off someone so much that they would want to kill me.

So many people don't seem to know the meaning of empathy. They think empathy means feeling sorry for someone.
