I saw this earlier, the Kimmel thing. I'm going to have a hard time if free speech is taken away. I like to speak my mind.

Pixie, our bullypit mix caught a mole today. I wasn't home for the catch but apparently she worked at it for 10 minutes before grabbing the mole. Melissa didn't want to watch Pixie kill it so I told her to shovel it into a bucket and dump it in the useless field down by the river.

That mole is Matt Foley's problem now.

Hello all! Today we're dropping our daughter and two friends off to see "Hamilton" in the movie theater. My understanding is it's a Broadway show. Ellie is a huge fan of the real theater, as well as the movie theater so it's the next best thing. It's 3 hours long so I could never sit through it. I only sit still that long for "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" or possibly "Heat".

Besides that I got my new Mars grape vine in the ground.

Today they are having the active shooter drills at my daughter's school district. I fucking HATE, HATE, HATE that the world has come to this. When I was in school there were three drills: fire, tornado and earthquake. Never in my mind did I imagine a world where the police would be hosting active shooter drills at our elementary, middle and high schools.

Personally, I feel like an asshole that we live in a place where getting shot at school is a possibility.

Penguin has been my constant companion since moving in from the street two winters ago. She rarely leaves my side or lap if I'm home.
