@SpaceLifeForm I don't even think that, per se. There's not necessarily a company involved in gatekeeping that's extracting profit from people. But it is, I argue, absolutely the case that established power structures in tech use both to preserve those power structures.

(Yes, I did write back in March that I'm against C++ and AI for at least some common reasons, namely the further institutionalization of gatekeeping in tech. I stand by that.)
