I was wondering if the General Discussion category is also meant for social community related aspects like server administration, maintaining communities and how to promote the fediverse, or if there might be other places in the theadiverse more suitable for that kind of discussions.

aha general is the catch all for AP discussions that don’t have a category of their own.
If there’s interest I’m more than happy to create a new category for it!
There might be interest in a moderation forum as well.
For example maybe #fediadmin posts could go in there.
