Is there a generational divide whereby young people don’t find it necessary to do what they say they’re going to do when they say they’re going to do it? I always thought that was a foundational part of being a responsible person. But apparently, it’s just a glitch of old people.

I think it’s a symptom of reading the room, and observing that the concept of “accountability” has evaporated from adults and institutions and concluding—somewhat accurately—what is the point?
