    I don’t store my passwords and authentication codes within the same app or ecosystem.

    The old phrase, “You don’t want to keep all your eggs in one basket,” applies here.

    That said, I still haven’t found a suitable alternative to Ente Auth.

    It must not be self-hosted, and it must not be based in the United States. I need a solution that syncs across multiple devices automatically — without any manual effort or involvement.

      @Linux I use keepasXC with the database on cloud storage (nextcloud instance operated by a local ethical cooperative).

        I wish people would listen -- NOT self-hosted.

        I don't want anything on my hardware, nor do I want to manage a remote VPS either.

        Sign up, login, done. That is what I seek.

          @Linux

          @nubo_coop The setup I described isn't self-hosted. A local application on your devices is not the same as selfhosting.

            That's even worse, because now I can't sync devices — and the last time I tried manually importing and exporting, it turned into a mess where some had current data and others didn't. And I had to keep track of every device.
