    More than 90% of all my communications are going through @signalapp . I don't know what I would do without it.

    I'm so scared anything could happen to it. That's why I give them money every month, and you should too if you can ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘‡

      @Em0nM4stodon

      My problem with Signal is that it's under U.S. jurisdiction. The development, the non-profit, and the business โ€” all of it is American. The servers that your messages pass through are also located entirely within the United States.

      We currently have a fascist regime that is demanding corporations and organizations comply with their outrageous demands. Under our current legal system, you can be ordered to comply and prohibited from warning or informing anyone.

      Those are just the facts.

      Iโ€™ve been working on a list of digital services and products that operate outside U.S. jurisdiction. On that list, Iโ€™ve included a category for โ€œEncrypted Messagesโ€ (alternatives to WhatsApp and Signal).
