    An acquaintance of mine realized he had chronic pain earlier this year.

    Doc couldn't figure it out, tried to treat the pain, but it kept getting worse. After months, I guess they finally looked at the right thing, and he got a cancer diagnosis. Stage four.

    Stronger and stronger pain treatment, still not enough. Aggressive cancer treatment, too.

    He died last night, in hospice. They finally gave him two days pain-free, but that was it.
