    Do you know what a bad faith actor is?

    A bad faith actor is the guy that tells you that things are terrible in the USA, but for you to ignore all that, and please use services in the USA.

    A bad faith actor finds out their corporation is in the United States, where the government can force a business to spy on you and not have the right to tell you, but tells you to ignore all that β€” trust that business anyway. πŸ™„

      @Linux
      I just started to figure out a move from Proton. Now you tell me I need to replace Signal, too? What do you recommend to replace Signal?

        @Compassionatecrab

        There are alternatives to Signal that operate outside U.S. jurisdiction:

        TeleGuard β€” Switzerland, Europe
        https://teleguard.ch

        Threema β€” Switzerland, Europe
        https://threema.ch

        Ginlo β€” Germany, Europe
        https://www.ginlo.net

        Delta Chat β€” Germany, Europe
        https://delta.chat

        These options include a mix of open-source and closed-source software, both free and paid β€” so there’s something for everyone.
