@futurebird There was a group I called The Beige Square Gang who would paint over all graffiti with dingy beige paint. Some clever artists would use anti-graffiti paint to protect their work and the beige would peel off in a couple of days.

Sounds like ablative paint. It's commonly used on the bottoms of boats and slowly, slowly washes away over time, taking marine growth with it.
