I recently cleaned my toaster which I've had for two years. The crumb tray was over-flowing which gave me a brain wave. I used the crumbs to bread a chicken breast. Delish.

@writeblankspace @fesshole As long as the toaster was used on a regular basis, the crumbs in the tray should be desert-dry and nearly sterile. Or at least they would be in areas of the US where air conditioning is common. I am aware that Fesshole-land is often more of an outdoor air sort of place, with a somewhat more humid kitchen environment due to the fact that it literally never stops raining there. Maybe the 240V toasters make up for it?
