I don’t know that that’s weird, necessarily. I’m apparently here for learning about interesting stuff, and interesting people, that I don’t encounter irl. Also the shitposting. I do a lot of that. Mostly stuff I copy from around the internet and magazines; mostly funny but some might quibble about a definition of funny. But also some interesting, mostly sciency kinds of things I stumble across. I never know why anyone follows me, but wonder about it a bit.

Ha ha, I don't have to wonder about followers! But when I joined Mastodon, I think I decided to follow funny, interesting, quirky people - or people who seemed that way to me. I have a few serious interests - politics, the art of food, climate science, poetry - but I am not sure I want to go deeper into the rabbit hole of choosing to follow people like myself...the dreaded social media bubble. If I can get to spend more time here I may figure it out
