#WritersCoffeeClub 5Sep—How much should a writer read?
IDEALLY a fair amount - new books, unfamiliar authors, and wider than the genres we write. I like to revisit classics now I have a writer's eye.
Read for fun, but also experience the particular, immersive, relationship with a book. We should read long form non-fiction.
I find age, medication, and the slog of editing reduce how much I read compared with how much I view. Impossible to stay across 1 genre
