      @benfell yep yeah she could say he died for what he believed in. I don’t advocate for violence at all, but you reap what you sow

        @lillyfinch

        Agreed. I doubt this will have a sensible impact however. After all, there were two assassination attempts on Donald Trump with absolutely zero effect.

          @benfell I don’t like to get into conspiracies, but I am highly suspicious of the first assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. The fact that the local police told the Secret Service about that weakness in their defenses as well as the very quick cremation of the shooter just makes me somewhat suspect. I know there were people injured, one was even killed I believe, but I don’t know. there’s something wrong about it.

            @lillyfinch Yes, one was killed. There’s a lot there that didn’t follow the usual pattern but I’m assuming until something more solid appears that it was a genuine attempt.

            There are plenty of boys with a really twisted idea of how to make a name for themselves and that seems to have been what that was about.

                @lillyfinch It’s why he won the election. A lot of young men saw that photograph of him with a fist clenched in the air and decided to vote for him. They didn’t care much about anything else. They just wanted a hero.

                  @benfell we are truly failing our young men. I suppose it’s all part of evolution going from a warrior mode of patriarchal hierarchy to something that is more inclusive of all people and is less violent. I imagine it leaves a a lot of young men very confused as to what they’re supposed to be.
