(Possible exception: private discussion between moderators to shed light on why the initial action was taken.) Regardless of the merits or facts of the case; and without being familiar with the specifics of Ubuntu's diversity/inclusivity policies or code of conduct, I personally don't see why this sort of edit would be called for.
