In the Midwest where it looks like you dug that hole, sure. But where I, and the previous poster, live nope. Lots of sand in the soil out here, and if you dig deep enough, you hit granite.
Sandy soil huh ive never heard of that oh and also I live in east tenesee it’s a weird place for sure.

That ground looks so satisfying to dig in. Like it would actually yield to a shovel. I’ve spent my entire life in Southern California and our ground is hard, dry, and filled with rocks.
