genuinely curious how you aren’t used to it by now as a huge proportion of twitter and lemmy users are american and use the date formats that match their locale this is a pretty normal thing online

I work a lot with colleagues from other countries as well. I usually see the yyyy-mm-dd or dd-mm-yyyy but mm-dd-yyyy is nonsense and I haven’t seen (or noticed to be more precise) before and I’m not that young oO
I only knew this in text / spoken form as in July 7th, 2025 or something like that.
