    Need "PC builder" help - this seems to be beyond my own knowledge. Boosts appreciated,

    I've switched out the 8TB disks in my RAID-1 (software, Linux) for new 24TB ones. I always use different makes, so this time they're Seagate IronWolf 24TB (ST24000NT002) and Western Digital Gold 24TB (WDC WD241KRYZ).

    The Seagate is having issues. It drops out of the RAID after just a few minutes, and the kernel log is filled with errors. Could this be because of the motherboard SATA controller, or should I consider the drive a dud? No S.M.A.R.T errors whatsoever.

    The motherboard is "old" - it's an MSI H110i Pro, but it sounds strange that the disk would not work fine even with an older controller.

    Example - the errors are not always the same. Note the time jump:

    ```
