Wildlachs ist rosa weil die Tiere farbige Krebstiere fressen. An Zuchtlachse wird Fischmehl verfüttert was ihr Fleisch grau werden lässt. Um die rosa Farbe zu erhalten wird Farbstoff zugefüttert. Die Zielfarbe kann der Züchter aus einer Tabelle aussuchen
