Horrified to hear the news out of Utah about Charlie Kirk.

@georgetakei That's absurd. Of course sometimes violence is the answer. Like when Putin is at war with Ukraine, Ukraine's answer is to fight back, not shout reasonable things at Russia and cross their fingers. This man was a fascist propagandist for the undemocratic regime, acting in cahoots with foreign adversaries, against America, Democracy, freedom and the Constitution. It isn't just our right, but our duty to defend it. We have no govt or military to appeal to.

@georgetakei Kirk was an ass, but I didn't want him shot. Especially with his wife and two kids on campus.

Related: I lived in this part of Utah for a long time. It's the kind of place where Joe Biden is considered a screaming leftist. The whole state, in voter maps, is typically a shade of bright red you don't usually find outside the South. Utah County was the least likely location for someone as conservative as Kirk to be shot. We'll probably know more when they find the shooter, but if someone was angry enough to take a shot at a Trumpist conservative in a conservative state? This administration should be afraid.
