This post (sadly not enabled quoots) with a picture of a MODEM and a recording of the sound. Not for the post itself, but for all of the comments pointing out that the sound is a 56K speed negotiation but the picture is of a 33.6K MODEM (which was also my reaction, but it’s nice to just be one of the biggest geeks in the room).

56kbps?! Madness! This is a speed that defies the Shannon limit; no good can come of it!(Sorry, never know if I'll get another opportunity to shout that :P)
