    Gym memberships are out of my budget, and something that I've wasted a whole bunch of money on in the past without ever actually setting foot inside, so that's off the table. Also don't really have the budget or the space for home exercise equipment (although I would love to figure out how to get a recumbent bike at some unspecified future point).

    Still kind of working it out in my head, but I'm fairly certain this is the next thing I want to get figured out as I get closer to making the life I want into my reality.

      @Krikket

      Unsure if you're looking for advice, or just talking out loud - if not looking for advice please disregard this reply, sometimes I step in where not asked.

      There's a LOT of home stuff you can do, that requires zero equipment, or silly things like - cans of food. I'd look on YouTube, add key words like beginner, home, low impact.

      Are some I use / have used.

        @stargrace usually even when I am just ruminating, I’m not opposed to well intentioned advice.

        I have been looking at YouTube stuff, but a lot of “beginner” stuff is still more than I can get my body to do or than I have space for.

        But I expect to struggle with *building* the habit as much as I will with finding things that feel feasible. Will check out those links, though, thank you.

          @Krikket tbh I just started with moving more. Every day. I built that into habit until moving didn't hurt quite so much (I just followed one of the videos and danced). When that stopped leaving me breathless I knew I was good to move on, etc.

            @Krikket For me a good music playlist is vital. I've curated several hours of favorite songs that have a good workout tempo, because if I get bored enough to remember I'm working out, it's all over.

            When I do use equipment like an elliptical or whatever, I can replace the music with a nice entertaining video. Harder to do if you're not stationary though.

              @Lironah A good playlist is undervalued for so many things, but with attempting to follow videos, I can't process both at the same time until I'm very comfortable with the movements and transitions.

              However, I did just dance with dogs while cleaning the house, and that's an A++ movement activity.

              (2 out of the 3 dogs in the house will absolutely dance with me, and I love it.)
