@crispycat I got a set of pfSense appliances some years ago (before pfSense even supported Wireguard, for what that's worth) because I figured FreeBSD-based, open source, downloadable images, yeah that's reasonably future-proof

Then at one point I needed to reinstall and found that not only were they no longer offering installer images, they were no longer supporting that model their own appliance *at all*.
Cue unhappy.
Still have one to migrate away from, but I'll get there.
