Or another way...same ratio of water to rice, put in pot with lid, let it come to a boil, turn the water down to a simmer, let cook for 15 minutes, take off the burner and let it set, with lid on for 10 minutes, so it steams and then open the lid and fluff up with fork.

@sunumbral I was wondering about that better than bouillon… now I know…too salty. You could try broth..like canned broth. That’s how my daughter makes gravy. You can never go wrong with cheese and potatoes. or potatoes and anything with it.

Thanks! It was some yarn that I found at the charity shop. One of the grandchildren wants a pink placemat, which I am now working on. It's the same yarn. I really like the pattern because I love the granny stitch, it's so soothing to crochet.
