When I was a kid in suburban New Jersey, the house across the street was occupied by a widow. The neighborhood kids used to visit her on her back porch and she was like a grandmother to us, giving us peanuts in the shell as snacks. I really think that we were a big part of her life.

@msbellows @cobalt123 I'm sorry, but although I lean firmly to the left, I can't swallow anything coming out of Mother Jones. It is for the left like Fox News is for the right. And MSNBC is right there with it.

My thoughts on all sides of this topic are simple: selling hate is wrong. It is the politics of someone like Hitler. Do we really need that in this country? I don't think so.

And I don't need Mother Jones or MSNBC to tell me this. It's pretty fucking simple to anyone with a brain.

@LJ That sounds very similar to how I'm doing this. I'm not sure how long it would last in the fridge, though. Once I store it, I definitely don't need to touch it until I use it. Do you have a link? I'll take a look. (Although I have to admit that the last thing I need in my life right now is more bread.)

@rpmik @selectric My kitchen is similar, but it is open to the great room so it's very bright. I designed my home so I built it exactly the way I want it and I'm a practical kind of person. It's perfect for me, but it will be interesting to see how it sells.‍️

@cobalt123 We've got no shortage of basalt boulders here. In fact, one of my neighbors bought her property and then began a mining operation, removing and selling the boulders. This is a residential area and our homeowner-maintained road could not handle the parade of dump trucks from 9 to 5 every weekday. The county shut her down. Ironically, she had recommended a friend buy the lot next door to do the same thing and now he's stuck with a lot that's pretty much worthless.
