I am once again speed-typing the minutes from last year's HOA meeting over my lunchbreak so they can be sent with this year's invitation.@jugglingscarves it's funny how typing brings back everything that you can't remember otherwise.

Rio's knee is doing better with the liniment we've using.@alexanderdyas It does seem like it, but most horses do roll and are able to get back up with no problem. When his arthritis wasn't as bad, he used to get up, shake off and do a little buck. It was awesome to watch.

It really reduces the swelling and allows him to go out grazing and roll around to take care of his itches or just because he enjoys it. He doesn't go far, but that's okay, at least he's out and moving around.

All the rain we had this summer killed off all my cacti that I had potted except my prickly pears. All the rain we had this summer killed off all my cacti that I had potted except my prickly pears. My favorite one was a round ball cactus that bloomed small reddish flowers and bloomed more often than any of them. I should have seen it coming and took steps to save more of it, but I did save 3 pieces that I repotted. Now when we get rain, I carry the pot into the tack room to protect it. The rest I can find more of next spring, but this one we cannot find. My husband and I looked everywhere that was a rocky area with no luck. It's probably because it is a fragile cactus.

Yesterday Rio's knee wasn't as swollen.Yesterday Rio's knee wasn't as swollen. He was still very sore, but when he moves around, he is at least bending his knee. I've been giving him his pain pills, and my husband found a lineament that he puts on his knee once a day. Maybe the combination is working. I also keep making the mistake of walking on his right side and he sometimes seems like he's going to lose his balance, I need to start walking on his left just in case he does.
