    I needed my living room floor back, so it has been “minimally quilted”, bound and shoved on the bed. I’m happy with it though! Heavy and toasty. 😊 110” x 110” - the bed is a UK super king.

    My main learnings are A) big quilts are tricky when you don’t have anywhere large enough to spread them out, B) having your sewing machine on the floor hurts your knees and C) check your bobbin regularly (🤬)

      @CurlyParakeet I’m a big fan of big block quilts and this is a really nice one - looks perfect for fall (hope your knees are feeling better)

        @inarticulatequilter

        thank you!

        I needed something quick and economical (fabric wise). But I’m actually very happy with it (on the front - I’m not even discussing the back…😬)!

            @inarticulatequilter

            Indeed…

            Out of curiosity, where can you get super wide fabric for backing? I realise that this is very much a case of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, but I’m interested…

              @CurlyParakeet @inarticulatequilter
              I don't know if it would be big enough but @suearcher has used duvet covers for hers.

              I suppose you could also look at super kingsize bed sheets. Flat sheets would give the most area.
